Butter Pecan Green Beans

I mean, I’m not going to say that I stole this recipe from Paula Deen. Because, truth be told, I don’t even know if she has a recipe like this. But if we’re all honest with ourselves, we know that more than likely…she does. Hard. One of the main ingredients is her true love, for Pete’s sake! I can’t dispute that.

But it's not like P-Deen created Butter. Or owns all rights. So, hands off, Cootie Queen!

However, I feel that everyone needs to have this at least twice in their life. Maybe thrice. I don’t know your needs.

Butter Pecan Green Beans

Butter Pecan Green Beans

1 Stick Unsalted Butter

1 Cup Chopped Pecans

1 Large Can Green Beans, drained

In a medium skillet, sauté the butter with the pecans. Stir around and cook for about 5 minutes on medium-high heat. The pecans should start to get a nice sear to them.

Add the drained green beans and stir often. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the beans get a sexy little color to them. image

I love this recipe because it’s so simple but it looks so fancy. People won’t even believe you. But when they doubt you, you can slap them. That's how they do it in Eastern Europe. And we all know how I love learning other cultures.
