I know, I know. You’re probably thinking that I’m fat and lazy by posting this exact post. However, it’s just not the case. I’m pretty and thin. And if anyone tells you any different, they’re probably a communist and hate freedom. But that’s just me. Mostly, I am writing this because I love bacon. Also, I think this is a trick that everyone should know. But mostly the first reason.
And I really don’t know about you, but I love short cuts. If there’s ever something I can just set a timer for and walk away, you better believe I’m going to do it. And if there’s a way I can free my hands for more mimosa….well, you just figure that one out on your own.
Grated Baking Sheet or Meatloaf Pan
This really is pretty simple. Lay one layer of wax paper over your baking sheet. Arrange the bacon on the sheet and cover it with another layer. Then, place another baking sheet on top of that.
Baking the bacon like this removes a lot of the excess fat from the bacon without drying it out. Translation: You’ll have a less guilty breakfast without sacrificing taste!
Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes, depending on how crispy you like your bacon.
