Sausage Balls

My family used to have sausage balls every Christmas. It was a real treat of delicious. Every Christmas morning, or party, that was what we ate. Eat that crap up. Well, I really think that people should tell you before you eat this stuff. “Hey, you’re going to love this and curse every day that you don’t have this treat but you’re only getting it during the holidays. Like Turkey. And Jesus.”

It’s a travesty among travesties.

This is why, as an adult, I make these whenever I darn well please. You’re welcome.

1 Package Jimmy Dean Sausage

1 Cup Finely Shredded Cheddar Cheese

¼ Cup Pioneer Pancake Mix

If you have a stand mixer, this is so easy. If not, just prepare to get your fingers a little dirty. Unless you have plastic gloves and are just a teensy bit grossed out by raw meat. Like me.

With your paddle attachment, begin to mix around your sausage with your cheese and pancake mix. It helps if the sausage is just a little bit closer to room temperature than not.

Roll them into about 1 inch balls and arrange them on a cookie sheet. They can be a little greasy, so use a pan with sides!

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Then, let the world sing your praises.
